We had Keilbasa,Kraut,and Mashed Potatoes. This is a family favorite.

Traditionally where I live it's supposed to be pork and saurkraut,mashed potatoes and dumplings..It's supposed to have something to do with luck for the new year...well..we had a ham dinner with mashed potatoes and homemade noodles(pennsylvania dutch style of course)...lots of other stuff along side of that as well...I never believed in superstition (much). Usually we have turkey and saurkraut...anyone ever done it that way? It's so good I was amazed. I was afraid to try it for so long but that is out typical New Years dinner.
