No not at all.... I had to write a letter to the school superintendant and tell him on my intent to homeschool them for that school term.
Each year 2 weeks before the start of the school term, I write telling him.
All I keep is a record of days schooled, and report cards... that I make up on the computer...

Here there is no fighting to homeschool and in some States the parents need to attend classes or have qualifications to school.... but in KY none is needed.

Thankyou, I have been working with children since I was 14 on and off, professionally since I was 16 but recently I fancy a change of pace either flying solo or head of room preferably baby room

Little true story here. I used to clean carpets. You made your money with selling add-ons. We would hire someone new, send him to the poorer part of town, would come back making a bunch with him selling the add-ons. He'd get back in, his fellow workers would tell him he got lucky and would never be able to do that again. And guess what? He wouldn't, because he listened to others instead of himself
