I don't think it's about dependance. In my experience, it's about not being able to depend on yourself. That destroys your confidence further, making the job of teaching you to trust yourself harder by the day.

Well, I used to smoke it. What can I say? I liked it, alot! I don't right now, partly because I want to take care of my body, lungs, as the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit in my religion. But, I used to smoke cigarettes, and once in a while I still may smoke one. And I drink in as much moderation as I know how, lol. But, mainly I don't smoke cuz its illegal where I live, and I don't wanna break the law or face the penalties. And because of Workers Comp issues, if I hurt myself or someone else at work, even if I smoked on the weekend or last week, if it shows up, I am monetarily screwed, big time. But, I believe it should be like alcohol, legal if your 21. Funny story, my teenage sons, first time ever, last nite, smoked a joint they bought at school, of course we smelled it and busted them. It is not acceptable in my home, lol, my wife told them we could lose our house and they could be sent to foster care where they would more than likely be molested, lol. Poor guys, they apologized this morning and said they'd never do it again. They know I used to, so I could not say a whole lot, but I don't think people should smoke when they are trying to get an education and their brain is still developing and all, they tend to lose focus, since they have the instant gratification the high gives. But, it is not like alcohol, or cigarettes, not nearly as unhealthy, It is vilified, and wrongly so. Man, I am suddenly 'jonesin', lol, better get off this thread, before I go make a bong or somethin', lol

I hear where you're coming from. However, after reading your post i failed to resist temptation. And ya know what's really sad about that? I've no chips in the house.

Thanks for sharing that story dude! Your wife sure knows how to spin a yarn or two .

I agree that developing brains are certainly something not to be trifled with, but I think the brain is always developing so that is why I feel the way I do.
