Hehee, I don't think anyone here thinks that liberals are 'better' than conservatives, so it's probably best that you started questioning that. We're all people, for better or worse.

To paraphrase Maize (Hey, that rhymed!), I hope this doesn't get you down. Like 'normal' churches, it's only natural that UU congregations would have a different focus, depending on the group attending. If this one wasn't what you wanted, keep on looking! Your spiritual and sociatal needs deserve to be met.

It seemed that these people only cared about money and someone's financial and educational status. One lady literally laughed at me because I attend a junior college in my area. Well, exuse me for wanting to go to a place with smaller class sizes and no fratboy/sorority bullcrap (no offense).

Well, thankfully there are many Wiccan groups springing up here and there all the time, which will be much more suited toward your needs. Most Wiccans discover that organized religions (large churches etc) fail to help connect them with the deeper aspects of spirituality and nature.

I would take a look at http://www.witchvox.com/ , you can usually find other people of your tradition in your area that you have interests in common and if you are lucky there could already be gatherings and activities going on near by.

I can say that from experience, not being rich or with the social "in-crowd". They have a wonderfully diverse congregation and I miss them so much! (But I like my new church too here in VA ). If you don't mind my asking, how long did you attend the UU church you left?
We started going around late February, not even a year. I just feel I need a break from organized religion for awhile. Something else that bothered me too is that the President of the church sais that they had over $80,000 in their account and most of it disappeared. Makes me kind of wonder.

I'm sorry you had that experience. I'd feel the same way. I go to church to get away from the troubles of the world, not hear more about them.

Mixing church and state goes both ways. The churches really shouldn't take political positions. They should teach truth as they interpret truth and let the members make their own decisions.
