What to write, what to write... (A poll, if you'd be willing to take it, too!) (choices, choice)

Hello, everyone!

Hopefully you won't mind a more-self-centered-than-usual post!

Recently, I've decided that I should actually be pursuing my dream of being a writer, to stop dreaming and try to make it happen! (And since most of you know what a waffler I am, you'll guess rightly what a long time this decision took. ) I'll be continuing to be a massage therapist, but I'm hoping to focus most of my energy on the other.

The trouble is, I've got so many types of writing I love to do! There's the esoteric 'stuff', which I love but it might be less than ethical to write about my faith for money. There's a rather large fantasy world that has me sketching the characters and cultures involved. There's also the choice of freelance work, which I would happily choose if I were able to do that. Lastly, there's my 'life story'. (Yes, yes... in terms of time covered, it wouldn't be very long!)

I feel like an arrow, set to fly! The only thing seems to be that I need someone to point me in the direction of where to go.

Please be that someone?

(Also, while I'll have made a poll with the above choices, I would love it if you were able to suggest something else!)

Fantasy Fiction. Judging by some of the books you've read, you probably have some cool ideas. How about a life story based in fantasy fiction! That would be cool.

Write ? Yes I think that you should . What you should write about ? Well that depends upon why you write . If you want to make money , write a cook book . Really . Everyone buys cook books . But if money isn't the only reason you want to write , then follow your writers heart .

fantasy fiction is my vote

but then again, your pagan, so a pagan based fantasy fiction story would be brilliant

you could do some sort of story about an old crone who is telling her life story to a young witch - and it includes her travels and adventures - but youl have to think up those parts i cant do all the work you know

although something like that would depend upon your ability to write descriptivly about settings and surroundings aswell, thats why i only write story's in a poetic form, because there short and they let you fill in the surroundings

With a title as "World's Tallest Hobbit" and that cool avatar , my first thought and vote before I read what others said was Fantasy Fiction. BTW...you've probably mentioned it somewhere, but who is that on your avatar?

Thanks, guys! *huge hugs* I really appreciate the input! I guess that those sketches are gonna evolve into fully-developed characters now!

That's a really interesting idea about the older witch telling her story to the younger one, CP! I'll be writing that down, if you don't mind!

(And the person on my avatar is "Belldandy", a character from the anime (Japanese animation) series "Ah, My Goddess!" When I first started getting into anime, I asked a few friends if there was a character that reminded them of me. (It's always easier to understand something new if you see a bit of yourself in it.) They all replied "Belldandy", so that's part of the reason I really like the character, hehee!)
