Fantasy Fiction is my vote. You just strike me as somebody who would be good at that kind of thing.

Just please, please try and keep from making another Tolkien wannabe. Avoid the typical cliches of a poor/regular farmboy becoming suddenly important. Write something original!!

CP, the world needs more people that excell at inspiration! Don't sell yourself short, hehee!
(I actually have the fantasy 'verse plotted out, (And don't worry, Apotheosis! I don't count myself among the Tolkein-wannabees... Unless you count wanting to steal Merry. *shifty eyes*). ) Gracie and Michel, thank you so much for the suggestion of the other. It means a lot to me that someone would think my life's worth reading about. (It scares me to think I might make a good fantasy character... but then again, I tend to percieve this world as being fantastic enough on its own!) As for what your friend does, CP, that's rather the method I use, as well. The characters tend to know the story better than the writer, anyway, so I find it best to follow their lead! ![]()

I think you should write about whatever you feel strongest about. No point in writing a fantasy if you can't come up with a strong plot. You said the memoirs would be short, so maybe a few more years would be better.
I got a few things I need to start writing. One book-trilogy is entirely mapped out in my head, from start to finish. It was actually from I dream I had that I enjoyed so much I altered a few things and came up with a good story. Another story is almost finished in my head, but I might end up with something well over 1000 pages when its finished. If it wasn't for Stephen King, I would think over 1000 pages would be far too many for a single novel. Then I got another religion based one that I'm still discovering information for, so I probably wont start on that for awhile.
