interesting, but i think ill stick to "golden vaginia" thanks
Okay I seriously read that wrong for a second there!

The problem I have with arguments like these is that I do not believe they are tackling the root of the problem. Its all very well saying that marijuana is plastered in puppy dogs, smells like babies and makes you live for a billion years but I think the question "so what if it is" is more pertinent.

Its our bodies, we can do what we wish with them including choosing how we want to exit them. We should be able to take marijuana no matter how dangerous it is to us.

pot has many more benefits and less side effects then prescription drugs.
pot will cure what ails you....aches,pains, nausea......
and give you a healthy appetite....a faster metabolism......and good night sleep ......
but smoking anything is not healthy.....it does cause short term memory loss......

look at all the side effects anti depressants come with on the short term.

who knows the long term effects that all the new man made drugs may have.....
we know cigarettes and alcohol are worse than a couple joints a day ....
people have been and will continue to be the pharmaceutical companies "dependants for treatment." and will never become cured

Thanks for the article it's very informative, nice to see an unbiased approach to it. I have to say I often indugle in it, though Guernsey is dry at the moment , & it's true that it makes you completely non violent, the only thing you want to do when high is munch away like you haven't had a decent meal in your life & laugh your 'til your sides split.
Unbiased, HA! Of course it's biased, though the references are not.

That is simply false.
Spinkles, it's safer in that you wouldn't smoke nearly the weight equivalent of a pack of cigarrettes a day. Though the carcinogens might be stronger, and the tar might be greater, it's still safer than cigarrettes in this regard. Besides this, you could, if you so desired, use a vapourizer, which does not cause the inhalation of any tar, or you could eat it.

Baloney! This kind of distortion is reprehensible IMO.
You certainly haven't done anything to prove otherwise. Perhaps you could quote some research that I could attempt to refute, rather than drawing upon public "knowledge" and claiming it dangerous?

Indeed, though it's dangers to us are certainly far less than riding in a car.

Marijuana also has a benefit that, to some, seemed quite unlikely. It increases your IQ. This was a conclusion in research done by Carleton University, Canada's national university. Moderate use of marijuana increases IQ more than if you hadn't used it at all. Like any drug, however, severe use (or "abuse" as it is known) causes detrimental effects. Severe use of marijuana caused an IQ drop. However, moderate use would include a couple joints per day, and therefore, not many people cross that line.

Pot ... well , if I had it , I had to smoke it . Don't know why , just did . So I didn't have it much . And then there was the paranoia ... and the munchies .... where did those anchovies go ???
Anchovies? I normally go for chocolate after a smoke .

But I agree with the comparison with alcohol (it's not worse).

Flipside of the coin is the mental effects. I've been a smoker for about 7 years now and although I probably already had a.... slight.... paranoid tendency it's certainly increased the paranoia, even when I'm not stoned. I think it's something that should be an INFORMED choice. Alcohol's mental effects are generally more depressive, and this too is true of 'teh buds'. NZ is the Jamaica of the south Pacific so if you'd like a sample come on over .

Funny ganja story:

Stoner friend of mine and his stepson were having a non-violent disagreement. Stepson calls the cops, and when they arrive points at his stepfather screaming blue murder about weed possession. Cop asks my friend if he has under 28 grams (an ounce, which is intent to supply in this country, by a looooooonggg way), my mate replies that yes it is under that amount. Cop says 'Keep it that way.' and leaves.

I LOVE THIS COUNTRY
