I once saw an artistic definition of infinity; there was a painting of an artist, standing in a field, at an easel, painting a scene of an artist..........until the detail became too small to see.

Can we comprehend Infinity; I don't think I can - if parallel lines meet at infinity, which I believe is an accepted rule - I definitely can't.

I have to agree with Halcyon here; although we can entertain the concept of infinity, the actuality of it is not within the human brain's current capacity. Maybe someone who has attained anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (perfect enlightenment) would have the capacity to do so; but certainly not us deluded common mortals.

I agree as well. Infinity is just something we can comprehend as a "concept." Not as an actuality.

I think I can comprehend infinity about as well as I can comprehend how it is to be raped. I've see programmes and shows and I've read stories about someone being raped, but I could never completely understand how it feels unless I experience myself. Still, by virtue of the human capacity to understand what we've not experienced, I have a good idea. I feel I too have a good concept of infinity, but until I can experience it (if that is ever possible) I will not be able to completely comprehend it.
