Hitler Survived the War and Died in Indonesia

I didn't know in which section to include this thread, so I decided to place it in the General Discussion section. I was listening to the the Coast to Coast radio program last night, and the guest was discussing his belief that Hitler escaped Germany and lived the rest of his life in Indonesia. He bases his belief mainly on an article that was punlished in an Indonesian newspaper in 1983. The author of the article, Dr. Sosrohusodo, claimed that in 1960, he met an old German doctor who was head of one of the biggest hosptals in Indonesia. After talikng with him and hetting to know him for awhile, Dr. Sosrohusodo became convinced that that the German doctor, whose name was Dr. Poch, was really Hitler. Dr. Poch had many of the same physical defects that Hitler was known to have. He dragged his feet when he walked, had a shaky left hand, and had a bald head, all of which Hitler was supposedly known to have had toward the end of the war. He even had the same type of mustache as Hitler. Dr. Poch also constantly praised Hitler and claimed that no one had been killed at Auschwitz. Dr. Sosrohusodo met Dr. Poch's wife, who resembled Eva Braun and sometimes referred to her husband by the nichname 'Dolf', which obviously sounds like a shortened version of Adolph. Dr. Poch died in 1970 at the age of 81, which I assume would have been around the same age that Hitler would have been if he had survived the war. After he died, Dr. Poch's second wife, who was a native Indonesian woman, showed some of her late husband's possessions, including a notebook, to Dr. Sosrohusodo. The notebook contained a list of Germans who had escaped Germany and were living in places such as Argentina, Italy, Pakistan, South Africa and Tibet. It also contained a drawing which looked like an escape route from Germany to Indonesia. One thing I forgot to mention is that you might be thinking that Poch could not have been Hitler since Hitler was never a doctor. However, Dr. Sosrohusodo didn't believe that Poch was a real doctor either since he didn't display any medical license and didn't seem to have any medical skills. If he was a fraudulent doctor, though, I have no idea how he became the head of a hospital. Anyway, I don't personally believe that there is enough evidence to convince me that Dr. Poch was Hitler, but I thought some of you might be interested in finding out about this theory of Hitler's survival in Indonesia.

Why, pray tell, do you think anyone would be interested in this so-called theory? I'd love to hear your rationale.
