So I got into;
- McGill - University of Toronto - University of British Columbia Where do you think I should go? Reputation not being one, because all three have similar world rankings. (I'm studying Chemical Engineering) |

Being from the UK, I don't know anything about these universities or which is best for your course.
I've been through university myself, and the advice that I can give is this: Choose the one that feels right for you. Ignore their rankings. When I was looking around at universities I got different feelings from all of them. I got offered a place at one of the UK's very top universities, and for a while I tried to convince myself that I wanted to go there, because of the prestige. Eventually I realised that my heart was set on one that was about 40 places lower in the ranking tables, and I accepted it and have no regrets. I know that you're just looking for some guidance here. But please don't base your choice on whether people on an internet forum who don't know you personally tell you to go to a particular university. It is a choice that you must make yourself. If you pick the right one, you will know in your heart that you have done what is best for you. Good luck with choosing! ![]() |

One has to be on top however slight. Thats the one I would choose. Reputation is everything and any edge however small can go a long way. Races are never determined by looking at similarities it's the one that squeeks by on milliseconds that gets the prize.
