Default Calling all Jehovah's Witnesses answer me this......

So walking home after running, a man who happened to be grabbing stuff from his trunk some stuff started falling out so I decided to help. Upon assisting the man and on my way home, he runs after me and hands me a book and says "hey I want you to read about this guy named Jesus. He wasn't no politician, or a war leader who sends people to war to kill Muslims."

I thanked the man and kept moving. I think what bugged me about these types of JW's is that if I do a kind act such as saying good morning or assisting them I have to receive religious manual on their faith. I will admit I have a tendency to read than trash the stuff since these folks are giving me this material out of sincerity.

I guess my question is, is this typical behavior for all JW? If someone says hello you are therefore compelled to talk to them about Jesus?

I think approahes like this definitely is a turn off. For one, it insults my religious intelligence to approach me saying "hey ever heard of a dude named jesus?" I mean, FFS! I live in LA Jesus is virtually everywhere. Two, I feel if a Jehovah's Witness is looking for converts their approach should be like tat guy. I think from all the JW books I received, I have over 50.

So please help me out here what is the issue?

That would **** me off no end. I help a guy out and he responds by shoving his religion down my throat?

They do not know how to switch off.

Maybe that is the problem and perhaps there is the stigma
