I heard this today and I thought it was beautiful and extremely interesting. Thought I'd post it to hear everyone's thoughts on it.

That implies life after death. I guess if you buy into life after death that may merit analysis but i f you figure our life is a one shot gig it seems meaningless. Oh and sex isnt' always intimate...
comparing sex to death ....somebody is bring out their inner necrophilliac |

If you keep talking like that pretty soon there will be a thread titled."Is necrophilia immoral?" I have a strange story that happened to me recently. Last month I went to give blood. They hooked me up and I sat in the recliner reading a book and after about 10-15 minutes the nurse came by and said I was done. This was kinda amazing to me since it usually takes alot longer than that. She said I was just a good bleeder and asked if I felt ok. I said yes I`m fine and she took the syringe out and bandaged me up and walked away. The next thing I know I open my eyes and I`ve got two nurses rubbing my chest and and saying my name trying to wake me up. I just went OUT..bamm. I had some juice and hung out there til they were sure I was ok and left. The thought hit me driving home though that if I had never woke up, I wouldn`t have a problem with it personally. Hell I wouldn`t have a problem with anything anymore. It was almost a revelation to me. I`ve passed out before but it`s always run it`s course and I`d sleep and wake up hours later but in this case I wasn`t out but a minute or two I don`t think , however it was like I had been gone awhile. No dreams, thoughts, nothing, just blackness that I really didn`t even have an awareness of until I woke up. I`m not as leery of non-existence anymore because of this little episode.

I liked it as well. And I disagree Robtex. I didn't immediately jump to life after death but rather to the connection to the entire planet. Why fear something that is merely a return to where you can from. There is something comforting about the idea that after a billion year genetic journey we can return home.

I don't know if it implies an afterlife. I take it as suggesting that throughout life, we all do different things, and can change our lifestyle, how much money we make, what kind of car we drive, etc... But in the end, WE ALL DIE. That is how I percieve it. So while you are having sex with another, you are doing the same thing with that person, but when we die, we are doing the same thing with EVERY SINGLE PERSON that has died before us. It is nothing we can escape.
