Didn't we have a guy on here a long time ago claim he was an alien and was trying to teach us things?? I can't remember completely? Or was it that he was an angel trying to teach us things?? Anyone else remember that?

The nazi also had a variation of the boomerang plane the H-Vb in the 40's but it also did not make it into full production before the end of the war.

The B-2 became public knowlege in 1993, but was in development around the time of the 'boomerang' shaped UFO's.
The 'boomerang' UFO's were likely night flights of this and similer exparamental aircraft. IMHO

Though I am familiar with all the information you have presented Painted Wolf (I have been a UFO armchair researcher for over 26 years), this was something definately identified as unexplainable. Too many credible witnesses (pilots, police, engineers) and none of these people could identify it to any of the technology that we incorporate today. These were also low flying and the craft made absolutely no noise. Believe me there were many "experts" that tried to give an explanation to these sightings but neither of them fully explained what other people saw. There was the explanation of aircrafts flying in formation and this stunt was actually simulated in an attempt to fool eyewitnesses but the eyewitnesses were not so easily fooled and could tell the difference between aircrafts flying in formation and the craft that they witnessed earlier.

Cedibility and memory are tricky things... not to say that the people are lying or anything like that, I'm sure they fully believe what they saw. But again time and memory are fickle things.

I wonder what ever happined to the 'nordics'?

Agreed, I am also interested in the psychological as well as the mythical as well as the physical aspects of this phenomenon (especially abduction cases).

I wondered what happen to the whole phenomenon. You could usually count on a major flap somewhere every 4 years (GULF BREEZE, FLA., MEXICO, BELGIUM, BENTWATERS, PINE BUSH, ). I have seen shows sporadically but they only showcase older cases and haven’t really explain any new evidence or newer cases. I must have missed the Peter Jennings show.

I did when I was 12 over the brooklin bridge,but it was probably just an airplane.

I've seen a few things that I could not explain. All of them I can attribute to my own eyes playing tricks on me, except for one instance when my family still lived in Columbia, S.C. We had just been visiting a local art museum, and were walking to our car when one of us (don't remember who) glanced at the sky and pointed upward. There was silence as we each studied it, and I finally asked "Is anyone else seeing a big Viking ship in the clouds?" My mom and sister agreed that they were. It was floating between the clouds above us, clearly not a hot air balloon, a kite, a plane, or anything else I can think of that would have a reason to be in the sky. I could see the planks that made up the bottom of boat (I'm sure there's a technical sailing term for that bit), the red and white sails, and the mast, which looked like a dragon, baring its teeth. We watched it disappear behind a cload that went by, and it was still there when the cloud passed on. Someone else, on the other side of the narrow street, was walking on the sidewalk, and we shouted at them to look up. They looked for a bit, and then proceeded to tell us what they were seeing, and ask us if we were seeing the same thing.

It was still there when we drove away about ten minutes later. We couldn't see it after we left the area, and didn't see it again after that.

I still don't know what that thing was.
