My dad saw UFOs twice while with the marines. In each case his flight log was confiscated by the government. One of these was shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor and he was part of a squadron sent to defend the island from what they thought was a swarm of Japanese Zeros. The object was blue and moved away from the planes rapidly. It was lost on radar shortly after that. The other time was over Virginia during an early morning flight during helicopter training. They initially thought it was some sort of test vehicle, but it didn't move right was far faster then anything they had seen. These came from my mother who heard them from my father, and she could not answer any of my questions about them.

That Drake equation is strange. It said for every galaxy there should be 0.0000002211 civilizations. They think there is about 100 billion galaxies, so that would mean 22,110 civilizations. That's even more than I would have thought though, I would have said tops a few hundred, but what do I know about space? :P

My Uncle Frankie was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base at the time the recovered Roswell disc was brought there. He said he was in charge of guarding the hanger but was not allowed to see it. He said there was alot of buzz amongst the officers about where it originated.

I have seen many intresting things in my day. UFO's however have all been explained later by natural phenomina.
I have yet to see a good photo that wasn't faked or of an explainable phenomina. ie reflections or the way the camera iris reacts under specific conditions (most common cause of 'dimond' shaped UFO's.
Alien abductions are easily explaned by natural phenomina such as sleep paralysis and in some cases by misuse of hypnosis and leading questions.

As a fan of the 'paranormal' I find the evolution of UFO mythology very intresting. So much has changed from the 30's

Anyway, I beleve that there is a good chance that there is life out there, is it intelligent? I have no clue and I don't want to guess without some better evidence.
If it were intellegent is it visiting us? Why would it? We really arn't that intresting when you think about it. I'm sure that they have better things to do than land in trailer parks and stick probes up peoples butts.

UNSOLVED MYSTERIES did a segment on the HUDSON VALLEY UFO sightings that occurred in my area during 1983-1988. These “boomerang” shaped objects were over a football field in length and testimonies were taken from over 1700 people and no satisfying answer to this phenomenon has ever been given. Phillip J. Imbrogno documented and researched these sightings and compiled them into a book entitled NIGHT SIEGE. I have met and talked to many people who remember these sightings and also have claimed to witnessed them first hand.
