Which country or state in the world do you feel has the best education system? Which one has the worst? Why are these systems the best or worst in your mind?

While the system in this country has it's flaws and funding issues I believe it to be at least as good as any I've encountered.

The US is too large and diverse to generalize about the education system. Schools vary greatly from district to district.
And schools gotta work with what they got, you know? The success or failure of a child in school depends greatly on the parents. When I see a terrible school district, it's usually indicative of a large percentage of dysfunctional families in the district.

Because almost everyone has equal access, the range and depth of subjects is good and there is also good access to third and fourth level.

Methinks we in South Africa has a bad education System. Since the ANC government took over everything went down the drain.
Pass rate of grade 12 is about 66% last year and expectation is that it might drop to 55% this year. this is what was published on the 18th: Quote:

I haven't seen very many different education systems... But I like the stuff I saw in Toronto more than the stuff I've seen around Illinois. I can't say if all of Canada, or even all of Toronto is good, but the one school I saw seemed pretty good to me. I think Montessori School is smart. Also, other people in my group went to secondary schools and I don't remember what it's called, but I think it's a good idea that the students can choose to take classes which will prep them for university or take ones that will prep them for something else if they want to, instead of around here where they assume everyone will want to go to college.
