We don't have to practice it to recognize it. For example studies of gambling show patterns of behaviour that are hopeless from a rational perspective |

We have a capacity for it, but from a Christian point of view, that capacity is as flawed as all the other parts of our human nature.

Let Scripture be. See what it does. Don’t defend it. Or your theology. Left alone, Scripture may just lead you to think differently. Don’t try to resolve all issues as soon as they are raised. Sit with the discomfort a while and you may find doors opening for you to much better places. |

Yes and no. We are all rational about some things, and not so rational about others. Different individuals also have differing percentages of rationality. This can also vary from day to day, just in case it wasn't confusing enough.

I agree; but I recognise that there are times when I am not so.......like when I have twice managed to burn the toast and smoke out the house.....I get quite angry with the toaster! lol
