Historically, what sort of society defends "traditional marriage"? (moral, homosexuality)

Let's see, what kind of countries defend/defended "traditional marriage"...?

Nazism declared itself incompatible with homosexuality, because gays did not reproduce and perpetuate the master race. For the same reasons, masturbation was also considered harmful to the Reich, but treated lightly. There was also a fear among Nazis of a "gay gene" contamination.

Hitler believed that homosexuality was "degenerate behavior" which posed a threat to the capacity of the state and the "masculine character" of the nation.[1] Gay men were denounced as "enemies of the state" and charged with "corrupting" public morality and posing a threat to the German birthrate.

Confucian morality and Communist Puritanism both frowned on homosexuality. The Communist regime persecuted homosexuals, especially during the Cultural Revolution, when many homosexuals were punished with long prison terms and sometimes execution. Social tolerance of homosexuality declined.

Since the policy of Reform and Opening Up in 1979, the communist party has been loosening its control over this kind of behavior. But the practice of homosexuality is still labeled as a "moldering life style of capitalism".

The Communist regime saw homosexuality as a product of a capitalist society and imprisoned homosexuals in forced labor camps in the 1960s, where they were subject to medical-political "reeducation".[1][2] The regime banned homosexuals from any position in which they might "corrupt minors" or have a negative influence on building the "new man".[2] The Cuba's half-century dictator Fidel Castro said that "a deviation of that nature clashes with the concept we have of what a militant Communist must be".[3]

What a terrific group! There's even a lot of support for traditional marriage in Putin's Russia.

Now let's see, what sort of countries are the most tolerant of gays, judging by their laws....? Let's see here....well we have ancient civilizations like Greece and Rome--that is, during their pinnacle of law and philosophy and literature, before the Dark Ages. And we have modern democracies like France, Great Britain, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Israel, Germany, Switzerland....yikes. What a terrible group.

We all know that Greece and Rome were the most primitive, least enlightened ancient societies.
And those modern countries I named are the worst countries in the world to raise a family.

Judging by history, I would much rather live in a moral society that defends the family.

I believe this defies Godwin's Law (aka: Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies).

I don't think Godwin's Law applies here, anyway. It's about comparing people to Nazis as an appeal to emotion, not discussing them in a historical context.

Now for my real post (I had to go to class earlier )

I think I see a few things in common among the leaders of those regimes: and ego problem, and the need for power (and for the most of those societies, Christianity).

For example, Hitler. He needed to make the Jews out to be inferior and demonize them, just for a "holier than thou" feeling. Convincing other (Christian) Germans of this gave him power. Then to further empower the Christian influence, he focused on gays as well.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense. I'm working on about 2-3 hours of sleep
