"A gust of wind will blow open the petals of a poppy that is slow in blossuming. Love suddenly brings the spirit of a girl to flower."
~~Amaru Is Amaru right about this? Does love have the power to bring out the spirit of someone? Is love a liberating thing? What do you think?

Ceridwen stole my answer, so I'll just have to say, "Bloody oath!" (i.e. 'yes' with extreme enthusiasm).

If we are talking about love that comes from within us, the answer is yes. The flower is a perennial. If you are talking about love that comes from another person the flower is an annual. If you lose the love of that outer person you risk losing the blossom. Love from within us is an eternal blossom.

[quote=Sunstone]"A gust of wind will blow open the petals of a poppy that is slow in blossuming. Love suddenly brings the spirit of a girl to flower."
~~Amaru /QUOTE] Again, we are talking about the word 'Love' which is used in many circumstances, to describe differing emotions. In the above quote, the usage implies romantic Love, and I personally think that 'the spirit' in this case not the 'theist' spirit, but more her 'character'-the writer is using poetic licence. However, without love I think most of us would feel 'empty', and therefore unlikely to feel the Joy of life a part of which (from my perspective) is that same feeling of contentment that I associate with Religious well-being.
