Proposing and donating to control the marital status of others is wrong. Keep the country pure and sacred? There are other groups that declared this. Should I list a few or can you guess?

Its not your life nor your decision who someone else marries if both parties are of legal age. Skygod and Holy book of Sugar Sky Daddy and your eternal make believe life even if true do not give you the right to force your beliefs onto others.

Not in america anyways.

Everyone has said that some of the anti-Prop 8 people have gone too far since it passed. Some of the backlash was inappropriate and wrong. Why do you keep bringing it up?

No, it's not an excuse for those responses which were actually illegal, immoral or abhorring. It does explain why those responses happened, though.

Also, is that reaction your excuse for the illegal, immoral and abhorring Prop 8?

AMENDMENT XIV
Passed by Congress June 13, 1866. Ratified July 9, 1868.

Note: Article I, section 2, of the Constitution was modified by section 2 of the 14th amendment.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. Are you arguing that its ok to abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States and their liberty because of Prop 8?

Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Prop 8 is designed to take away the rights of others. Take away their liberty. Take away their equality. Force them into a second class citizen role. Regardless of your religious beliefs your Citizenship as an american should inspire you to stand up for freedom, to fight against oppression and hate filed agendas like Prop 8.

There are many who oppose Prop 8 who have done all the above to show their outrage for prop 8.

Even I can see it, and I am 110% AGAINST Prop 8.

I was merely pointing out that the illegal, immoral, abhorring behavior displayed by some people who oppose Prop 8 (though not excusable) is understandable.

This thread is actually about the REACTION TO prop 8. Take, for example, the mapping out of people who donated. Is this justified?
