seems to me that they needs be taught much sooner than college.
Think about it, if you wait till college to teach about sex, most students wouldn't need the class because they already have plenty of personal experience....

Absolutely not. Start at grade 4 or 5 I'd say and at key stages thereafter, most likely grades 7 and 10.

I agree. Personally I think such classes should begin at the middle school level and that at least 1 class that gives a basic overview of just what sex is, the dangers involved, what one can do to protect themselves should be mandatory to take at some point in time before A kid graduates though ideally sometime in middle school as that is when they hit puberty. Of course I would think differently if parents could get past their discomfort and actually take the time to talk to there kids about sex rather than coming up with goofy stories like the stork and what not. Even if they did though I think the courses should be offered at least by high school level if not sooner.

I think you need to be more specific as to the depth of the material you are talking about being taught. Basic human sexuality should be, and is, taught in high school. I do not see any reason to spend more than 3-4 weeks on it. Now if your talking about entire semesters on the subject, I think that should be reserved for college.

I remember in 6th grade all of the girls went to one room and all of the boys went to another and they talked to us about that stuff... We thought it was so funny. We were all 11 and 12 years old and I don't think most of us really thought we needed to talk about that sort of thing. That and my mom told me about it already a while before that.
