Walking Through Walls (Kingdom, hell, Article)

Do you think we will ever be able to walk through walls? What teleportation or dematerialization? Would this be a solution to pollution? Here's an interesting article.

I don't know about WALKING THROUGH walls--but I do plenty of TALKING TO walls.

I doubt it would ever solve pollution on its own. Any kind of movement from one place to another would require energy and the easiest/cheapest way of getting this energy is from burning fossil fuels. It could limit pollution perhaps but I get the feeling that this would require a LOT more energy than, say, simply driving between the 2 points.

According to the article, it's not a real brick wall, but an illusion of one. So you can put down the sledgehammer, Jewscout - but that's no good, except for the performing arts.

Chances are we will discover something to really walk through walls. after all, it was only a hundred years or so since they swore that a heavier-than-air object (such as a jumbo jet) will never fly.

But if there was a real device to walk through walls, i'd be pretty worried. It would create huge security issues

Lol, well it could be that man's been walking through walls ever since Dillinger made his most famous escape. But sure, provided we aren't all annihilated there's a growing chance that every kind of incredible trick will be discovered and amazing device invented.

But I'll make a wager with a cynical man that the annihilation of all mankind will happen before we invent anything like that.

Ill take Jewscouts approach though. If a wall is in my way, a good 20 pound sledgehammer will help me take care of it.

There was a breakthrough in teleportation about 7 years ago, and it hasnt been able to be recreated as effectively. I wish I can find the article, but 7 year old articles often return in a lot of spam.
The test had a mose teleported from the porter to the reciver, it was only effective at a 20 foot range and the mouse displayed heavy memory loss. I forgot how they stated they were able to do this, something to do with the complete breakdown of the organism to the smallest measurable form and then recreation.
When I read about it, I thought I was reading a spoof or the onion, but animal activists closed down their operation.
Does anyone know what Im talking about?
