Is time "real"? Or is it just a construct of the human mind? Put another way, would time exist without the human mind?

Some things are real even if humans don't understand the concept of it. Our minds no more make something real or unreal, there just is and isn't, reagardless of the construct of humans minds.

I put that last part in specifically with you in mind. If humans had never existed, though, would time still be "something"? Is it just a human attempt to put "form" to something that is "formless"?

I understand. Is time one of those things?

Just like sound still exists when no one can hear it and light still exists even if we couldn't see it.

Events occurring before and after each other, and not simultaneously.

![]() when i was younger, as a poet, i used to see time as a creature that lives and gets older and like any creature it would die someday. it is some kind of complement to me as Islamic teaching is very close to that. time is a creature that created by God. starts with big bang. with that explosion, kinetic energy was set in motion. velocity naturally brings out time concept. it exists. but it is our minds that perceive it linear with certain speed. it is definitely relative. one might spend 4 hours in ten minutes of sleep. but everything we do appears in specific time and place. when kinetic energy ends, velocity would be zero and that is apocalypse, end of time.
