Sexuality (moral, homosexuality, choice, experience, marriage)

By this I mean heterosexuality, homosexuality and bisexuality.
What are your definitions of these three terms? Should their differences cause a moral dilemma and if so why?

Does anyone see a difference between a relationship between 2 men and 2 women? Is one more acceptable than the other?

What determines a person's sexuality? Is it genetic? Society?

Lastly, because I never see this one anywhere, is bisexuality actually a sexuality?

All of these questions have dogged me for a long time now and I would be very interested to hear as many different points of view as possible. If your views are seated in religion then the passages upon which you base them would be much appreciated. I see same sex marriage as a very different issue to sexuality and I would like to make that distinction in this thread. If I think of any more questions then I'll post them here later.

bisexuality= people having sex

bisexuality simply means you reserve the right to fall in love with and/or have sex with anyone you want to regardless of gender. Personally this is my favorite choice, true egalitarianism.

Heterosexuality: primary attraction towards opposite sex
Homosexuality: primary attraction towards same sex
Bisexuality: attraction towards both sexes

I don't believe there is any reason a person's sexuality should cause a moral dilemma.

No, to both questions.

I don't know, no one does for sure. But I believe there are many influences, most if not all, are out of our control.

Yes, there are people who are attracted to both sexes.

So, therefore, if I were to be attracted to other people of the same gender as me, that would not make me homosexual?
Also does that mean, in your view, that someone who has not yet had sex does not have a sexuality?

The reason I ask the question about bisexuality is simply because I am firmly of the view that sexuality is determined by a persons genetic make up. However, from the evidence I have seen, I have been unable to work bisexuality into this way of thinking and so, if it were caused by something else, should it be considered a sexuality?

I would agree with you Bystander except that there is no reason why a homosexual couple, of either gender, cannot procreate.

Maize: My views are very similar to the ones you stated in your post. However, I have not been able to find reasons for why I feel this way. Could you, perhaps, tell me how you reached this way of thinking?
