If you were driving a brand new car, would you ask someone, what is wrong with my new car?
Is asking what is wrong with something trolling for an argument? Is it looking for acceptance? Is there really something wrong and you just don't know what it is? Is there nothing wrong and just long to hear it? Is there nothing wrong and you just want to troll for jerks to argue with? Are you just fishing for complements? You really just don't understand but have a clue there might be something wrong and you just can't figure it out by yourself and genuinely need input.

I think that it's useful. I haven't read these threads, but when I see the title I think it's more a friendly "what do you think is wrong..." question rather than trolling.

I think it's more like when your wife asks your opinion about her hair or her new outfit.

But back to your OP... I can see what you're suggesting, but I'd rather give people a chance to come right out and answer a direct question such as that one than to derail other threads with sarcastic, out-of-place comments about a religion. If people are willing to tell me what they believe in wrong with Mormonism, it generally gives me the opportunity to clear up a few misconceptions. I'd rather do that than have to deal with anti-Mormon comments on miscellaneous threads scattered throughout the forum.

If that's you in your avatar then I would have to say no.

That's me on Superferry 19, around May 23, 2007, between Manila and Butuan City. And that's the last time I take the boat, it's Philippines Airlines from now on! Sheesh!

Oh cool. I sent you a PM about the Philippines but that was before I read this post. Where's Butuan? I've been to Manila, but most of my excursions were in the Ilocos regions. I never has to ferry just really long bus rides.

I think it is ok to ask such a question as long as it pertains to the poster. When we speak for others and do not have all the information that is not being objective. Personally I don't care for people that tell me what I believe or how I should believe it and I don't care for people asking "what's wrong with Buddhism?" unless they have a basic understanding of it.
