Do you think younger people are more likely to put up with abuse than older people? If so why? If not, why not?

Do younger people tend to define abuse differently than older people? If so, how?

Well, my experience is certainly not conclusive, but I believe I've noticed that younger people are indeed more likely to put up with abuse than older people (with the possible exception of very old people).

I also think older people tend to define abuse more broadly than younger people.

It is like the Virginia Tech massacre. One man can only shoot so many people at one given moment. The chances to over power him were great. Still, everyone lined up and waited their turn to be shot. If I am going to be shot next, what do I have to lose by fighting?

Absent fathers have not taught the need for aggression in certain circumstances.

Schools act as if violence should never happen.

It is a wonder we even still have football in High School.

I am not condoning violence and I want children to be taught respect for each other, but when you are being abused, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEFEND YOURSELF!

If i was abused, i would not take it, i would go to ANY extent to stop abuse (if its very severe). It has to be quite bery bad for me to put them in bed. The same should go to older people. If they can, they should defend themselves all they can. In life, we shouldn't stand for anything.

People would freeze like a rabbit in the headlights of your car that is so scared it can't get out the way even though it would have enough time.
