Do you believe humans are superior, inferior, or equal to animals and/or nature? Why?

Equal, because I see no distinction.

Why do you think humans are superior Jay?

Why not? I did ask why in the OP. And this is a debate forum, which means you need to back up your claims or at least explain them. If I wanted mere opinion I would have put this in the discussion forum.

Superior.
Why? We are the only species capable of forcing the environment to adapt to suit our needs.

We are superior to most animals in reference to domination and intelligence. Most animals are superior to us physically. If you don't believe me, try to out free dive a whale or run faster than a cheetah.
Except for mice and rats, man has subjected most animals to do his will.

Two points: 1.How does that make us SUPERIOR to animals. They are able to adapt TO the environment instead of working against it. How does that make them inferior to us? 2.Beavers chop down trees and build dams to live in. Does that not constitute "forcing the environment to adapt"? many animals dig holes in the ground to live in. Does this not constitute "forcing the environment to adapt"? |
