All of our other senses have organs (such as the eyes) and/or nerves associated with them. If we had a sixth sense, where are the organs and nerves associated with it?

I don't know about the sixth sense but I work with a women who is blind and she can pick up a vibe quicker than anyone. Sometimes it sort of drives me nuts because she knows when the slightest thing is wrong and get worried and etc... I am convinced she can probably predict the weather. So if we are trying to identify a sixth sense, the sensing of the emotional climate of people or a person would be my vote.

I think a lot of people do have a 'sixth sense.' Not the kind that enables one to 'see dead people', usually, but one that enables one to sense things outside of our physical senses. Call it psychic ability, intuition, whatever. Maybe we all have this sixth sense, but some people are just more in tune to it, or more aware of it.

I think everyone is born with a sixth sense though in the consideration of placement I believe it is the "first sense" that we actually utilize when we are born and as we grow older it becomes the last sense to BE recognized or developed.

For some people who are already attuned, though, it can be very frightening, especially if their religion states that there's no such thing or that they are wrong for having it.

Proprioception is usually listed as the sixth sense. It's nothing psychic or far-out, just the sense of body position or the relative orientation of various body parts.
Without it you couldn't walk, catch a ball, or avoid stabbing yourself in the eye when eating spaghetti. |

If you believe their is a 6th sense is there a name you have for it and or definition and description? The other five are well defined.....everytime I hear 6th sense I don't get any other info about it other than an abstract metaphysical example.
