Palestine vs Israel
I know this sounds like a political debate or a religious debate, but is it? That is why I posted it here.

I said All of the above because the Arabs and Jews have fought for centuries even though the conflict today is not, in my opinion, a continuation of what was mostly tribal differences. The Mandates that came out of WWI were the source of the current regimes, Arab as well as Israeli. When Britain pulled out in 1948 they left a mess. And finally, if Israel had paid attention to the civil rights of it’s Arab civilians things may not have escalated to where they are now.

The conflict is multifaceted so I voted for "All Of The Above". There should also be a humanitarian option.

Although I am tempted to say "All of the Above", I feel very strongly that all governments should have stayed outof it. Relocating tons of Jewish people to there is not fair at all. I feel it is the biggest political mistake of our history.

2) Muslims incorrectly fight with Jewish over tampering with books, when it is in the canonization, as Mohammed’s message is after that.

My views have changed since the "Forties"
To start with I had no sympathy with the state of Israel as they were fighting the British. Secondly I had a grudging respect for the Jews for their fighting abilities in the 7 day war ect. Thirdly and up to the present day my sympathy lays mostly with the Palestinians. The reason for my present view is that I am a Liberal with a deep sense of Fairness. I feel the Israeli position totally lacks compassion for the Palestinian plight. They have never shown the slightest understanding of the Palestinian point of view. They have acted the bully and been surprised that, with no hope the Palestinians resort to killing.
