Hijack? It certainly is taking a big chunk of it... But I don't know that you could ever hijack a movment. People will be moved in some ways but not in others, so you just have to go with the flow.

No; they are simply taking advantage of an organ that has the inside track to most governmental and social organizations.
They are doing what any "oppressed" group would do; looking for support through the most organized and powerful group available to them.

Nope, they are not hijacking the movement, just trying to extend and learn form it. They are, at this point, the only group that does not have civil rights. The only reason the GLBT community should feel shame from using comparatives and similar tactics is that they, in the land of the free, should even have to fight.
