I heard that Moore recently paid the medical bills of one of his harshest critics -- a man who keeps a blog dedicated to attacking Moore and who couldn't afford his medical treatments. I think that was a good act on Moore's part.

True. He paid the guy's $12K annual healthcare premium, so his wife could get the healthcare they could no longer afford.

I like moore, I really do. Is he right in what he says all the time? Who knows but at least he isn't afraid to speak out for what he believes in.

The world could use more people like him.

it was certainly generous on his part, which proves that a divisive, big mouthed blowhard can actually be a good person in some way.

no matter WHAT the political affiliation.

which is why i find the plethora of "similar" threads .... started by someoe else - to be a transparent and regrettable attempt to bait, divide, compartmentalize, and marginalize others of a different ("conservative") point of view.

really, maybe i should just take the hint and leave.

I don't really care for him. I think he fancies himself as being wise, and generally better than every conservative on the planet. I think that he serves no purpose other than to be divisive, and he isn't beyond "twisting the facts" to get people to buy his movies.
