Are women more emotional than men? And if this was true, would this be considered as a weak point in women?

Emotions are caused, in part, by neurochemicals, and women have a different cocktail of neurochemicals than men.
The neurochemicals that cause emotions not only cause physical feelings, but also shape how people look at things. Men seem to be dominated by fewer neurochemicals than women. That's to say, they seem to have fewer ways of looking at things. But that's just my opinion, and it could be based on out-dated information.

I'm pretty sure that we are, generally speaking. It has a lot to do with the hormones and chemicals that we need for carrying and raising our young. But a weakness? No. If anything, it makes us more compassionate and empathetic. (I know there are always exceptions, I'm speaking in very loose, general terms.)

I've met some really emotional guys... people seem to forget that "anger" is an emotion, too.
I don't think being emotional is a bad thing unless you let your emotions control you. |

Here's an example of how men and women differ in their emotions:
When a couple make love, their bodies release oxytocin, which is a hugely addictive bonding chemical that creates those "warm and fuzzy" feelings everyone knows about. But the effects of oxytocin vary by gender. Testosterone tends to reduce it's effects, while estrogen tends to increase it's effects. So, in men, the effects of oxytocin peak within 15 minutes or so after making love, while in women the effects can last for days. If we go by the example, women are indeed more emotional than men in that specific case because the effects of oxytocin linger in them a lot longer than in men.

I have asked my own questions
Do men have any more or less cause in their lives to be emotional? Probably not. Do they show their feelings in other ways? Sometimes Is it unmanly to show ones feelings? ![]() No Do men of all societies act at the same emotional level? No some are far more demonstrative. ![]() Perhaps how we show are emotions is a cultural thing ... not just a gender thing. ![]()
