I myself don't much care for one-night stands, but I know people (both men and women) who do. I have nothing against their preferences. Their preferences just are not for me.

First of all, while to you casual sex may be wrong, and/or something you wouldn't do, some people enjoy casual sex. I say as long as they're making an effort to be safe, more power to them.

And, I'm also going to contest the idea that you're not assuming there's one purpose to sex. Your post is clearly assuming that there is a "point" to sex, and "fun" isn't one of them. I disagree. Fun is a part of sex. Pleasure is a biological function of sex. There is just no escaping that. You can treat that function as being more or less important than its procreative function, but that is entirely subjective. Biology makes no such distinction.

I think I said somewhere, sex is fun! or is supposed to be - I never enjoyed it! but I think thats because deep down I wasnt ready - I just did it because all my friends did it!
