Cute. Kinda silly at times too. Christianity still creeps me out though.

Oh yeh? Which ones?
I have to admit I get freaked out when people do things like talk about Satan as some great supernatural enemy that's out there trying to mess with everything, then identify people or things as being in cahoots with Satan. Its all too easy to split everything into two with some simple conception of good and evil. That's what made me a little uncomfortable with the video. The "Jesus is way cool" stuff was odd too. I mean, yeh, he was, but there is sincerity and pretentiousness. Some of things being said sounded a bit pretentious while at other times the speakers were just obviously having a great time or looking for faith and meaning.

The ones talking about how the Hindu's in India are wallowing in sin.....
That was just disrespectful. |

To each his own opinion. I find the idea of looking at humans as only "dirty and selfish" as a little extreme, but, eh, what are you going to do? I just hope the kids and bands are having fun.

Ok, I watched it, so what do I win? LOL
The whole thing bother me. It felt like they misappropriated modern sub-culture, twisted it into a shadow of it's former self, repackaged it in sanitized cartons and resold it. But, oh yea, welcome to capitalism, if it will sell...it's all good. Besides the cultural rant, anyone bothered by the militant theme in a religious festival? I couldn't even identify which doctrine the organizer identified with. So many things I could easily take issue with. Sense when does appealing to "coolness" work as a conversion tool? Just how deep can a person's faith be when their just trying to be "cool"? The argument for conversion...how extreme has someone gone for you? WOW.

I NEED FASTER INTERNET! I gather it is the same sort of theme from "Jesus Camp?" That movie freaked me out.

In the same idea, but it's talking with teenagers instead of taping a 'camp'.

As for coolness I've been thinking about what I percieved as the pretentiousness of some of the speakers. It came over like the superficial mimicking the profound, sort of like you said. Its also natural for young people to be attracted to mimick such things if they're not capable of understanding them. Depth of faith usually only comes with depth of experience and depth of personality.
