FOR AMISH: Scrapple (Roman, easter)

It isn't a Amish breakfast without Scrapple?

Is this true, I've heard of it. Yet, I'm not sure though others try to convince me. Then again, I'd heard rumors of Hawaii and Spam and have found that to be true now... Even my sister says that every breakfast at a Dutch Amish household she has had (in Pennsylvania) is served with Scrapple.

Just need some insight into this. Thanks

Please, forgive my ignorance, but are you even going to be able to get an answer from an Amish person? Don't they shun technology?

This may be true but I am sort of counting on that people will come running for the great taste of scrapple.

My family is originally from Eastern PA and scrapple was a staple of my childhood. It was the all purpose food. It could be breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I always joke that its made from the stuff that just wasn't good enough to become sausage or hot dogs.
