The Bible covered about 6000 years of history. Before Christians knew how old the earth was, they ASSUMED that the Bible covered the totatlity of human history, and thus assumed that the earth was only about 6000 years old.
As for the continents... the point IS that any reference to continents is omitted... you said that there cannot be life on other planets because the Bible does not mention it... well, then there cannot be other continents other than the ones where Biblical events transpire because no other continents are mentioned.

I'd just like to say that the bible speaks of 3 phases of Earths. Supposedly there were the first heavens and earths, we live in the second heavens and earths and in the future there is a 3rd heavens and earths.

an angel for every star to guide it as they are losing mass in form of energy yet are still the same distance from for example the earth to the sun. since their is an angel for every star there are a finite number of angels therefore finite number of stars but space is infinite.

i think God's Passion tells it all, the earth and the life-forms on it are unique.

well we should know in about a decade or so....
what if we arn't alone? Life is pretty resiliant stuff... it lives in places that just a few years ago we thought would be impossible. It doesn't need sunlight, its happy in subzero temperatures as well as temperatures above boiling... it can live in 'solid' rock in antarctica or deep in the earths crust... It is the least predictable thing in the univerce ![]() the life on earth may be unique to earth but I doubt that it is the only life in the univerce. wa:do |
