Eight Stages of Genocide
By Gregory H. Stanton (Originally written in 1996 at the Department of State; presented at the Yale University Center for International and Area Studies in 1998) http://www.genocidewatch.org/8stages.htm Genocide is a process that develops in eight stages that are predictable but not inexorable. You know... tolerance and love would stop the bigotry that starts all of this. As a whole, we like to trivialize, compartmentalize and demonize those who we see as opposing us. In short, they can do nothing right! The sad part is, that for the most part, the atrocities we attribute to the other group are usually in our own mind but we can't see it.

A pluralistic society can operate quite well with intolerance and hatred. It is unrealistic to think that all society will be filled with love and tolerance. The "love and peace" segment of the 60's and 70's failed.

So you are justifying hate and intolerance? How peculiar. I don't think these values fit in a civilized society at all. The "Love and Peace" segment never failed: they were never realistically tried out. The war mongers have always been in power and are more seditious than ever.
