I voted for all of them except for "emotional healing, personal growth, and procreation".

I don't think sex is a magic bandaid that fixes problems like some people treat it to be... and I really don't get how anyone can view procreation as a benefit of sex.

I absolutely agree that sex alone can't fix problems and relationships. However, I found that a loving relationship and healthy intimacy with my husband has gone a long way towards helping me heal from all the years of rape and sexual abuse.

...and I find myself in the opposite camp (in reference to heterosexual sex, of course).

I feel they are all benefits of sex and the relative weight of each shifts with the individual and over time. Though I feel Pleasure, Procreation and Bonding/Connecting are the most important.
