Cool is a calm and reasoned response to an unknown and not anticipated variable. Whether it is an unexpected happening at 130 feet under water or getting news that your server just took a powder, how you handle it determines your "cool ratio" for me.
James Bond was only cool because he had a gun and gadgets. In fact, most movie stars are cool because they have great scripts... everything is planned, including the variables. If you think you are cool, then you are most definitely NOT. Sorry, but that's the way I see it. It has nothing to do with how you dress or the persona you project... it's how you react to pressure. Unmitigated, relentless, in yo face pressure that needs to be dealt with NOW, NOW, NOW! Am I cool? That's for others to decide.
