Well, I go by Monday being the first day of the week during my everyday life (it being the day I have to go back to school). But for Jewish related stuff, Sunday's the first (in Hebrew, that's what the word for Sunday literally is, "first day" or "day one").
I was told once that the Sabbath was on Sunday for Christians because that's when Jesus was supposed to have risen, but I've really no clue how accurate that it. Anyone know?

I have always considered Monday to be the first day of the week; Sunday the seventh. It's funny you should bring up calendars - mine has Saturday as the first day.
