When forced to confront an unpleasant truth regarding key issues regarding religion, politics, philosphy, or the like, how do you prefer to receive it?

Slow and steady, or as Isaiah said, "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little."

But be concise and direct about it, please. I don't do hints and have little patience for beating about the bush on important matters. Why in Heaven's name I ended up in the South I'll never understand. It must be as a test for my patience. ![]() Last edited by Booko; 10-17-2006 at 07:30 PM. |

I want to hear news with all of the facts. I remember watching the television and hearing all about that "racist, extremist redneck up in the woods who wouldn't give himself up" only to find out later that Randy Weaver had been entrapped, lied to and basically demonized for sawing off a shotgun barely past the legal limit.
Another example is a recent war this country started. Don't keep secrets, don't spin it with political correctness. That's for political "truths". As for religion or philosophy I don't see how the question applies.

I'd rather know the full truth, straight up, no waiting. Prefacing it with, "I've got some bad news..." is sufficient. I hate it when people dance around the truth for half an hour to cushion the blow. I'm an adult and I can handle myself.
