Is modern Western society more corrupt than it has been in the past?
How does one define "corruption" in this context? What are the signs of a corrupt society? If our society is more corrupt, in what way? What should be different to make it less corrupt? Was there a time in the past when it was less corrupt, and how so? Was there a point in history where society had optimum "uncorruption"? If our society is notmore corrupt, is it any better than it has been in the past or is it about the same? If it has improved, in what ways? Would you consider Sunstone's "unorthodox" relationship with a certain Ms. Acme Latex to be a sign of our awful Western decadence and corruption or is it a shining example we all should follow?

I guess corruption comes with those who seek power.
Modern communications just make it more obvious.
