Robertson’s 2,000-pound lift raises eyebrows
Skeptics question whether septuagenarian televangelist leg-pressed a ton I highly doubt the man did. Here is the link to the article and some of my favorite bits http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13027545/ Quote:

So does anybody here really think he did that? I know we have a few Robertson/CBN fans here. So what do they think? |

Here is the link to the live vote on msnbc on whether good old Patty actually lifted this much. It seems there are some people who actually think he did, or someones playing with the poll.

I believe that's physically impossible, unless you're superman. Now, I don't doubt that good ol' pat eats his veggies, but a 60-someodd year old man leg pressing 2 tons? Give me a freakin' break. I call bs, and publicity stunt!

So how much is he really doing, or is it being held by someone else?
BTW, Maddllama, I liked your other avatar, I recognized you easily with it! ![]() |

I used to make a few spare bucks betting the football players that I could leg press more than them. Our machine had a 750lb. limit. I was in HS at the time, 18 yrs old and riding my bike maybe 10 miles a day at least (unless it was raining) so I was in good shape. And I used to do more than one rep, thankyouverymuch. I could hardly expect the guys to pony up a 10 for one lousy rep. sheesh What I'm wondering is, why does everyone seem to have to go into the diet business? Dr. Phil? I thought his thing was counseling and communication and whatnot...but diets? And now Robertson is pushing some diet drink? sheesh Is he not making enough of a living with his show? What makes his diet drink so special compared to, say, Slim-Fast? Is it made with Holy Water or something? I mean, inquiring minds want to know! ![]() |
