What the bleeding banana-trousers was Bush thinking?

I'm not a total anti-Bush person, but when he says something like this, it ticks me off, I just want to get out of there.

The only way this war will be over quickly is if we pull out, leaving Iraq to fall into chaos or to be invaded by Iran. The only way it will be won is if we stay for several more years.

Those are just the realities of the situation, and much of what we see today was forecast by perceptive, informed people even before we went into Iran, but who were willfully ignored. I'm not just referring here to members of the public, but also, and perhaps especially, to analysts and other employees of the government who were ignored.

Any fool can start a war. It usually takes someone a bit smarter than a fool to win one.

I think it might be a subjective thing, AL. Some might percieve it as him saying 'I got us into this and we're not going to be out of it while I'm in office. It's up to you guys to
fix it in the long run.' If you don't percieve it that way, then there's no issue with it.
