This comes from the thread about Bush nuking Iran.
Suppose you knew that Bush really does want to be the second Emperor of the United States. He just one day says, "You know that huge debt we have? Well we're not gonna pay see? So you can suck it. And by the way, it's our world now--we're taking over operations. Any of you other countries got a problem with that, it's rocket strike theater. Praise the Lord." He has already shown himself as a war monger, so what if he decided that the U.S. was just going to take over the whole world, and the military leaders here all had his back? What would you do? Would you move to a different country and take up arms against the U.S.? Would you move just for the sake of not living in Bush country anymore? If you don't currently live here, would you want to move and join the new Reich? Also, do you think the U.S. could handle it? What if the U.S. stopped pulling punches in it's attacks, unconcerned with civilian losses or bad press we send out ridiculous payloads of explosives. Adopt a scorched earth policy. Take what we find (like the Nazis) and add it to the wealth of the motherland. In other words, would it be better to be the right hand of the devil, or in his path? (Incidently, I will be playing devil's advocate on this one) |

Political Science - Randy Newman
No one likes us-I don't know why We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try But all around, even our old friends put us down Let's drop the big one and see what happens We give them money-but are they grateful? No, they're spiteful and they're hateful They don't respect us-so let's surprise them We'll drop the big one and pulverize them Asia's crowded and Europe's too old Africa is far too hot And Canada's too cold And South America stole our name Let's drop the big one There'll be no one left to blame us We'll save Australia Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo We'll build an All American amusement park there They got surfin', too Boom goes London and boom Paris More room for you and more room for me And every city the whole world round Will just be another American town Oh, how peaceful it will be We'll set everybody free You'll wear a Japanese kimono And there'll be Italian shoes for me They all hate us anyhow So let's drop the big one now Let's drop the big one now |

i think the idea of Bush going on an all out military conquest of the world to be highly unlikely and makes absolutely no sense and there is no reason to think this is the case except for the misguided delusions of extremists on either side of the aisle.

World conquest is ridiculous because there is no benefit.

Emperor Norton... wow. Further proof that California is, indeed, the onramp to the apocalypse.

Meanwhile, our national media (having also been absorbed by the Redwhiteblue Reich) will keep the majority of americans ignorant and pacified through all this. There will be insurgencies, always, but the big dog will still rule the yard. And don't think the U.S. wouldn't have allies--people who want to be the devil's right hand (so to speak) and profit in the plunder. How's that for a start? |
