From John Lennon's Imagine. "Imagine theses's no heaven. It's easy if you try. No hell below us, above us only sky"..... What would this world be like without religion. Better? Worse? Why?

In a lot of ways a world without religion would make it a better place. But i can't giving up my religion - something I hold very dear.

![]() I think it would be the same, only different. We'd all still argue and complain and kill and do bad things. We'd all still love and care and make laws and do good things. The difference would be that we'd have one less barrier between each other and maybe quite a few more because of it. Either way, we'll still live and die and that's the important part. I don't see it as even a possibility: whenever you have questions, someone is going to try and answer them and the questions surrounding our existance do indeed exist, thus religion.

Another song, "One Tin Soldier" From "The Legend of Billy Jack" Comes to mind..... "Go ahead and hate your neighbor, go ahead and cheat a friend. Do it in the name of heaven, you'll be justified in the end. There won't be any trumpets blowing come the judgement day. In the Bloody morning after.... One Tin Soldier walks away."

Hm, I don't know. As much bloodshed as religion has caused, it has also offered people clarity to their otherwise hazy and meaningless existence.
