In the movie "North by Northwest" (one of my favorites), there is a hilarious scene in which Cary Grant shaves in a Grand Central Station men's room with a tiny women's razor borrowed from Eve Marie Saint. If you haven't seen that film, I highly recommend it.

Why is it o.k. for women to use mens razors but it's not o.k. for men to use womens razors? Inquiring minds want to know.

The real question is...why would we even want razors.

I am of the firm opinion (with my tongue firmly in my cheek) that in the Garden, Adam and Eve did not shave. Then, when the serpent deceived them, he led them into all sorts of fashions and fads. Naturally, Lucifer and his demons kept giving men knowledge in those days to further lead them astray by opening their eyes.

One such demon brought men the knowledge of metallurgy. In order to further his plans, he tied its uses to man's vanity. He took Adam and Eve aside and took them to a mirror. He then showed Adam how metal could cut the beastly beard. Adam's descendants learned from this, and they used the knowledge to create larger razors, swords and knives for the cutting of humans.

Ever since, men and women have tried to hide their true, God-given nature by shaving themselves and obscuring things. In some cultures, women still have preserved themselves pure, and unshaven. In others not. Sadly, though, men are more and more shaving. To them, I can only say, "Repent! Turn away from your knives and embrace the peaceful, beastly beard. Be proud of your mane!" and hope that society changes to where my job will no longer require me to shave.
