I agree with Michel both in the welcome and about your search. Part of the fun of this journey we call life is the quest for knowledge.
The only dumb question is the one not asked. |

You seem to be short on periods. Borrow some of mine. Click the "edit" button, and make use of them.
.................................................. .... .................................................. .... .................................................. .... .................................................. .... Form a prayer group or something with some of your friends. The churches are too impersonal, anyway. |

Let's all remember civility is our friend, please.
![]() If your friends are really friends, they won't try go after your blood without your consent. (Besides which, it sounds like they're more in a cult of their own making rather than actual Satanism. If anyone's been threatening you, you may wish to stay away all together, or alert the authorities.) If you're a student, this kind of thing tends to happen in groups that consider themselves outcasts. (My school had a group like that.) If your various friends try to say that you can't be buddies with the other group and still be friends with them. Perhaps, when you said 'yangtang', you might have meant yin-yang? If the idea of balance in all things interests you, I can find some links, if you'd like.

Civility is the enemy. Besides, it's good advice. He finds the churches oppressive, but he wants some sense of religiosity in his life, so I gather from his periodless post. A prayer group would provide this and probably improve the unity among some of his friends. What do you think, El Wombat?

14 years old? May be too young to make up your mind on religion.
Spend more time studying your English literature, Mathematics, geography, history, science, and read more novels on "Lord of the Rings", or watch more Disney cartoon like "Beauty and the Beast" or other fantacy stuff like "Alice in Wonder Land". Enrich yourself, indulge yourself in these worlds of wonder. Then read biography of the historical great man like Mohamed Ghandi, or the Nobel Prize Albert Schweitzer. Let these people inspired you in your quest for religion and your philosphy of life. May God bless you in your quest. |

Frankly speaking, I do not think RF is a good place for you. You should go and read up religion on these sites:
http://www.religioustolerance.org/ http://www.beliefnet.com/index/index_10000.html http://www.about.com/religion/ And this article may help you to decide when you have learned more about Christian and Satan http://geocities.com/greatcalgarian/WhatisMan.htm |

Come to think of it, the role of Satan in Christianity is widely misunderstood, mostly by Christians. He's known as the light-bringer, the accuser, and the adversary. Also, where does this notion come from that he's ever been anywhere near Hell? Honestly, it says right there in the Bible that he walks Heaven and Earth. Oh, but no, don't listen to the one person in the family who's ever opened the thing to read it rather than to pull out handy quotes. Also, he isn't a goat-legged fellow with a pitchfork that looks like a trident; who came up with that? The dude you see in the cartoons looks more like Pan to me.
As for Hell, you can take the Catholic view that Hell is eternal seperation from God or the Orthodox view in which one man's Heaven is literally another man's Hell. The fire and brimstone preachers are taking a parable as an accurate illustration of reality, which is another example of foolhead Christians pulling out quotes to ply people with rather than reading the thing with proper context. Why complicate this? Why? Why not just read the books like they were meant to be read? Honestly? It isn't all that difficult. |
