Default how do you think the universe/multiverse was created?

So, how do you think it was created? Personally, i think the Great Celestial Presence exploded, creating all the planets and stars, and leaving behinds its soul as the Force, which created all life.

I'm all for the Big Bang theory. However, I'm a little confused about what is supposed to have happened BEFORE the Big Bang (I remember something about a theory of a bubble-like universe that kept budding off or something, but I don't claim to understand what exactly that means).

At this point, any belief regarding the beginning of the universe is based on faith - because science does not yet have enough data to give us a probable answer.

I tend to believe that the Universe has always existed.

Amen brother TVOR!

It would be safe to bet that some science always boils down to faith, and some faith even boils down to science.

Umm... It's not important. Why even ask questions we will never know, or even need to know the answer to?

To quote Mark Twain:

"'We had the sky up there," said Huckleberry Finn, "all speckled with stars...and we used to lay on our backs and look up at them, and discuss about whether they was made...or just happened.'"

I'm gonna go with "just happened."

I wish I could accept that thought; the trouble is that my mind always wants concrete answers for everything. Stupid, I know, but that's me!

It isn't too hard to accept Michel. If you believe god always existed, just replace "god" with "universe." As a taoist I see Tao as the encompassment of everything. Thus, the universe, and all multiverses if they exist, with everything that exists within them, have always existed in some form or another. Constantly changing but always existing. There is no creator, only change.
