I appreciate you answering my question. But I do want to say one thing, if I may. You say I never follow the crowd. That is true, but untrue as well. In the last two games, I have been the one calling the shots from behind everyone else. I have never been first to accuse (except in the case of Watchmen in the very first game), but instead have worked with others and have had them accuse first, at which time I come out of the wood work and second their accusations. What's to say I'm not doing the same thing now (though it kind of sucks that I just let out my playing strategy, but oh well, the mafia's always been after me from the get-go of every game, because I'm sure they've worked out my strategy already).

Anyway, that's what I have to say in my defense, take it as you will.

9-10ths, honestly seems innocent to me. First time playing the game, exhibiting STANDARD citizen qualities, outspoken and determined to lynch the right person... I think, C1 you are just against 9-10ths because he is against you. I hope you eventually realise that he is innocent.

So yeah, innocent for penguin!

I won't be drawn into your little mind games, Don. I have my reasons. Just as anyone else has their reasons. Why are you suddenly leaping to his defense? And why are you so angry at me? I have done nothing this time to raise anyone's ire. True, I was very outspoken and some might say rude the first game, but I think we can all learn our lessons. I've been quiet, mainly because it's obvious that's how people prefer me to be around here.

EDIT: 9/10ths, all I must say is that your behavior thus far, especially given that it's your first game, is rather brash and impetuous. Perhaps the actions of someone unfamiliar with the game, to be sure, but also a sign of guilt. My accusation stands.

Mainly because I misunderstood the rules, as it turns out.

I thought that we only got one trial a day. This made me worry that the mafia might make a strategy of quickly suggesting innocent people; that way, at best (for them) they get an extra "kill"... but even at worst, they'd use up our one chance to execute a mafia member for the day.

After this occurred to me, I saw these two messages between Troublemane and Circle_One:

Troublemane's logic was flat-out wrong here. I didn't think that either him or Circle_One would make this kind of mistake, so I highly suspected that this was a planned exchange designed to cast suspicion on the people who voted innocent for Mrs. C: rojse and Scruffitude.

On top of this, I was suspicious of the way Troublemane voted at Mrs. C's trial. It looked to me like he waited until near the end when it looked like his vote would be needed to convict her before voting. I think that if he actually thought she was guilty right from the start, he would've said so earlier. The best explanation I could come up with for his behaviour was that he wanted her executed, but didn't want to be seen voting to execute her unless he needed to.

Those two things made me highly suspicious of Troublemane, and by implication, Circle_One as well. Because I thought I was in a race to bring someone to trial before the mafia falsely accused a citizen, I accused the person who I thought the most evidence pointed toward: Troublemane.

It was then that I PM'd a bunch of people in order to get the trial happening as quick as I could. I was worried (incorrectly, as I pointed out) that if the mafia acted quicker than the citizens, then they could slip someone else in while we were getting organized.

So... that's the long version of why I accused Troublemane. I still think that a heap of evidence points toward him, but I would've waited before accusing him if I had had known I could.
