The only Phantom Train I know about is in Final Fantasy VI. Cyan and Sabin were trying to get to Narshe (and Shadow, too, if he didn't run off) and ended up on it. They finally stopped the train and even made a couple of ghost friends.
And now I am talking about RPGs.
